Working on a clients’ computer has got a lot easier with improved broadband speeds and the ease of use of tools like TeamViewer. This enables you to make changes to email settings or diagnose client computer problems.

First, you need to download TeamViewer and install it on your computer. It is free for non-commercial use. Next, send your client these simple steps to get them up and going:

  1. First, go to http://www.teamviewer.com
  2. Click on the Download button on the left
  3. Follow the instructions to download and run the application
  4. Select the default settings
  5. Make a note of "Your ID" and "Your Password"

Have them tell their ID and Password and then you enter these into your TeamViewer installation. In seconds you will be in control of their PC and not jumping in the car to drive across town.
