Novator Medical is New Zealand's most advanced preventative health and diagnostic clinic. Driving meaningful advances in human wellbeing, performance and lifespan. Owner Dr Sarah Hickton-Burnett came to Utopia looking for assistance in connecting their new website to a clinic management platform. This was to enable patients to schedule their own appointments.
Utopia established the range of requirements around people being able to schedule bookings. Special consideration needed to be given to the different types of bookings, the availably of staff, and lead time before specific bookings can be made.
Utopia built a working prototype of the solution which enabled a patient to choose an appointment day from a calendar. The available booking slots for the required type of appointment are then presented for selection. The patient then enters their details and completes payment to secure the booking.
Behind the scenes the website adds the appointment to the clinic’s calendar, manages the patient’s supplied data, and interfaces to a CRM platform. This is used to externally manage the collection of further patient information for the appointment.
Within the pre-launch phase new features were added to the booking platform to help create more patient engagement.
