Branding

The United Church of Tonga is a faith based Christian organisation with branches in New Zealand and Australia. Pastor James asked Utopia to create their new brand and website. The overall goal was to build an online community for church members to access information and join online events. A Content Management System (CMS) was also required so staff could easily update the site. The CMS platform chosen for this project was CMS Made Simple.

After discussing content and functionality Utopia produced a mock-up of the new site using the logo and colours supplied.  This was fine-tuned and the final website implemented. While the website was being completed James worked with a website copywriter recommended by Utopia on the website content.  After the website implementation Utopia entered the content supplied by the copywriter.  Utopia helped to arrange the website hosting.

The website is integrated with Zoom to provide access to online sermons. These are recorded and put on the website for people to view later. All are managed in the CMS via an Event plugin. Utopia also created them a new logo. For this we held workshops to find out what sort of logo they required. We then created several versions of the logo and worked with them on refining the chosen design. Once complete, the logo comes with a brand guide including complimentary fonts and colours.

The new website is fully responsive allowing it to work across multiple devices like phones and tablets. Search Engine Optimisation was completed on the website pages and content.  The blog enables quick and easy publication of regular information to the website visitors. An interactive calendar allows people to see upcoming events. Videos embedded from providers like YouTube and Vimeo are used throughout the site.
