Kohia Terrace School is a full primary, offering quality learning opportunities for Year 1 to Year 8 students. Utopia and Kohia Terrace School have a long-standing relationship with Utopia creating their old website and making updates as necessary.  School Principal Alison wanted a complete upgrade of their old website. The existing site had a lot of content which needed to be copied to the new website. A Content Management System (CMS) was also required so staff could easily update the site. The CMS platformchosen for this project was CMS Made Simple.

After discussing content and functionality Utopia produced a mock-up of the new site using the logo and colours supplied. Utopia used technology to copy the content from their old website to the new one so no-one had to re-enter it.

The school can upload weekly newsletters for parents to view. Staff can upload videos and a blog on the homepage keeps parents up-to-date with current information. An events calendar also lets parents know what activities are coming up, and a gallery shows photos of school events. A website form on the contact page allows visitors to easily make an enquiry. Search Engine Optimisation was completed on the website pages and content.  The new website is fully responsive allowing it to work across multiple devices like phones and tablets.
