Below are some of the additional services available when hosting with Utopia. Please contact us to have any item added to your hosting plan.

Additional bandwidth (traffic)

If your websites bandwidth requirement exceeds the amount allocated by your plan, you can purchase more.

Additional storage space

If your website requires more disk space than that allocated by your hosting plan, you can purchase more.

Content updates

Utopia can make content updates to your website. You may be too busy to make the changes your self and yet have a defined set of changes. Simply email these to Utopia and we can make the changes usually within 48 hours.

Sub-hosting

Sub-hosting is when you use your own web space to host other websites. These might be your clients’ sites or friends to whom you are onselling. To sub-host sites, you must first have a website hosted on our Standard hosting plan. Using the members’ area you can set up the hosting and register any domain names required for your sub-hosted clients. The monthly fee billed to you includes support for hosting the domain name, email and access logs. If you purchase the Designer package, you get sub-hosting of unlimited websites and domain names included at no additional charge per site.

Website backup on CD-ROM

Lost track of your website files or have a dynamic site with databases and forums? You can now order a complete backup of your website on CD-ROM. The backup will be put on a standard CD.

Backup mail exchange

If your organisation currently has its own mail server, then you need to protect this investment. If the server goes down, people will not be able to email you. Purchasing a backup mail exchange means your email is collected by Utopia until your mail server comes back online. Then, automatically, the email is forwarded on to you.

SSL Certificate

If you need their own secure SSL certificate for a professional e-commerce site, then Utopia can organise this for you. These certificates allow your site to be accessed like https://www.your own site .co.nz. If you have a SSL certificate already created, Utopia can load it on to your hosting account, and assign it a unique IP address, for a single setup fee of $100.

Additional mail boxes

Additional email boxes are required if your organisation grows beyond those already provided for on your hosting plan.
